mimicri (formerly “Efecto Mpemba”) is a genre-breaking ensemble consisting of Alfred Lykke, Beatriz Gijón, Lukas Loeb, Gustav Hagelskjær and Laura Zöschg. The group blends elements of rock, pop and jazz, always allowing free improvisation to be the main thread between these different genres.

mimicri’s debut album “It Will Never Happen Again”, released in 2023, showcases a stunning interplay of structured songs and free improvisations, creating a sonic journey that invites listeners to embrace curiosity and joy.

In February 2026, the band will release their second album, presenting a new side of the band, putting more emphasis on original and collectively written songs.
